Job DetailsResponsibilities
- Lead trust and estate litigation matters end to end, including case strategy, budgeting, and timelines.
- Draft and argue pleadings, law and motion, discovery, trial briefs, and settlement agreements.
- Conduct and defend depositions; manage written discovery and e-discovery.
- Handle mediations, settlement conferences, and regular court appearances.
- Liaise directly with clients, fiduciaries, beneficiaries, experts, and opposing counsel.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of recent Trust & Estate litigation experience (required), including probate and fiduciary disputes.
- Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy; motion practice and deposition experience.
- Ability to independently manage a caseload with strategic thinking, urgency, and attention to detail.
- Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.
- Preferred first or second-chair trial experience in probate or civil matters and/or contested accountings, will/trust contests, breach of fiduciary duty, removal/surcharge, undue influence, and elder abuse claims.
