Twin Oaks Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Lead Registered Veterinary Technician!

As our Lead Veterinary Technician, you'll continue providing exceptional hands-on patient care while gaining valuable leadership experience in a supportive, collaborative environment. You'll work closely with hospital leadership to help guide and mentor our talented team of Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants, preparing you for future management opportunities.

In this role, you'll:
  • Help coordinate daily workflow to ensure efficient patient care and a positive client experience.
  • Support medical quality, safety, and hospital standards throughout the day.
  • Mentor, train, and encourage team members as they build their skills and confidence.
  • Partner with leadership to strengthen team culture, communication, and operational success.
  • 80% working with the team on the floor and 20% administrative

Schedule and compensation:

Compensation: $ 28-35 per hour, for each hour worked

This is a full-time position, with a 5/8 or 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday.

  • Bonus package: $2000 based on active, good-standing veterinary technician credentials in the state of California

Minimum qualifications and skill set:
  • 5+ years of veterinary technician experience
  • Active and good-standing Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in the state of California**
  • Proficiency in the following skills:
    • Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery
    • Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
    • Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostic testing
    • Accurate medical record documentation
    • Safe, low-stress patient handling and restraint techniques
    • Client education and communication
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong critical thinking and attention to detail
    • Effective teamwork and professional communication skills
    • Commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous learning
    • Comfortable with inventory management tools

**Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out-of-state license-holders who are eligible to transfer a license, are also encouraged to apply
