Job DetailsJob Duties
Responsibilities will vary based on litigation experience and may include:
- Manage civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal memoranda.
- Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive written advocacy.
- Attend court hearings, case management conferences, mediations, and other proceedings.
- Develop case strategy in collaboration with fellow attorneys.
- Prepare cases for trial, including witness preparation and evidentiary review.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel.
- Negotiate settlements when appropriate.
- Mentor junior attorneys and legal staff as experience progresses.
- Maintain organized case files while meeting litigation deadlines.
Job Qualifications
- Active license to practice law in California.
- 1 to 5 years of litigation experience, including internships, clerkships, or other relevant legal experience.
