Job DetailsThe firm is seeking an Associate with strong litigation experience to join its growing practice. This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys handling sophisticated disputes, working closely with clients, and taking an active role in litigation strategy.
Attorneys will work on a broad range of matters involving:
- Complex business and commercial disputes
- Construction litigation and construction defect matters
- Premises liability and tort defense
- Transportation and trucking litigation
- Contract disputes and indemnity issues
- Product liability and property damage claims
- Commercial and construction-related risk transfer disputes
Responsibilities:
- Manage cases from inception through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal analysis
- Take and defend depositions
- Attend hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences
- Prepare and argue dispositive motions
- Collaborate with clients, experts, and litigation teams
- Participate in trial preparation and trial work
- Develop litigation strategy and evaluate case exposure
Qualifications:
- Active California Bar license required
- 1+ years of litigation experience preferred
- Experience in business litigation, construction litigation, insurance defense, or tort litigation highly preferred
- Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Experience handling depositions, motion practice, and case management
- Trial preparation experience strongly preferred
- Ability to independently manage files while working collaboratively within a team environment
